Hello, and welcome to August Sage!
We're so excited to have you here, and hope you enjoy perusing our site.
Lily and I (Rowena) started brainstorming for August Sage a year ago, and can't believe we’ve finally arrived at our launch date. Lily has been the brains behind the operation, and we wouldn't be here without her. Therefore, we're kicking off our blog series with a tour of August Sage Co-Founder, Lily Lei's chic Albuquerque home.
Despite Lily being a native Seattleite, she embodies the local Southwestern aesthetic, adding her own personal touch filled with lush green plants and global influences. Her home is bright and airy; white walls balanced with neutral warm tones from the plush leather couch, natural wood, and pops of color.
How would you describe your style?
A mix between Mid-Century modern, bohemian, and urban jungle in both furniture and accessories. You'll notice plenty of warm brown tones, black and whites, and various textile prints. I have a bit of green thumb and my indoor collection consists of 72 plants including cacti and succulents.
What does 'home' mean to you?
My philosophy for my home is to have a space that feels fluid and organic to really serve the simple purpose of comfort. I'm a huge home body and spend a lot of time working from home so it’s really important to have a space that motivates and increases my creativity.
What is your favorite August Sage collection?
Our Ankole horn collection is so versatile, and adds a strong worldly flare to any home. The Ankole cattle is such a powerful and symbolic animal to the East African tribes. I'm honored to be able to share these pieces of beauty and culture.
